    On December 3, 2024, at 2:00 PM onwards, the team of 7watts visited Quest Ion IT Philippines, Inc., located at Unit 1, 2nd Floor, Manila Ave, Subic Bay Freeport Zone, Zambales. The activity was supervised by Mr. Lester Jan Mendigorin. The objective of the visit was to gain industry exposure by observing the company's IT workflows, understanding the team structure, and learning how daily operations are managed in a real-world IT environment.

    The visit to Quest Ion IT Philippines, Inc. was a great learning experience. I saw how organized IT workflows and clear processes help the team work more efficiently and effectively. They explained their Software Development Life Cycle, from planning to maintenance, which helped me understand how each step is important in creating quality software. I also learned about their systems for handling technical problems and support, which help reduce downtime and fix issues quickly. It was clear that everyone on the team had specific roles, and working together smoothly made their projects more successful. This showed me how important communication, teamwork, and responsibility are in IT work.   

    This experience gave me useful ideas that I can use in school and future work. Using structured workflows like those at Quest Ion can help organize tasks better, reduce mistakes, and improve how projects are managed. I also saw how a ticketing system can make it easier to handle IT issues by setting priorities and fixing problems faster. I plan to follow the best practices of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in my own projects to keep everything organized and efficient. Learning how to manage changes in IT systems is also important to avoid problems and keep things running smoothly. These lessons will be helpful as I continue to grow in the IT field and take on more challenging projects. 

    The industry visit was a great experience that gave me a better understanding of how an IT company works. I really appreciated how the speakers explained complex topics in a simple way and connected them to real-life situations. Learning about the different team roles and how projects are managed helped me see how IT operations run smoothly and effectively.

    Interactive sessions, like a live demo of a system or project management tool, would make the experience even more practical and engaging. During the visit, we were also free to ask questions about anything related to IT and our future careers, including the skills we want to develop and the areas we’re most interested in. Overall, the visit to Quest Ion IT Philippines, Inc. was very informative and helped me better understand IT workflows, software development methods, and the value of teamwork in a tech environment. The things I learned will definitely help me grow and succeed in my future IT career.
